One year after

One year ago the job assigned to us by the Buddha was completed. I decided to share my journey. My testimony has just been made available for seekers to freely access. It is in the form of Q&A.

  1. Dear Arema

Thank you for your account, I think it’s truly inspiring. I am really glad I have encountered it. It was shown to me by Grzegorz Polak, a scholar whose scientific work focuses on jhanas in Early Buddhism. His conclusions are somewhat similar to those of Keren Arbel and overlap with your experiences.

I have been a lay “Buddhist” for 25 years but my work with my mind has never been so much associated with meditation. So in this sense I am a beginner. Recently I discovered the possibility of joy and sukkha in everyday life when directing a more compassionate mind towards myself and just asking myself all the time whether the current action leads to happiness or stress, but I have some doubts whether I am going in the right direction, or maybe I am deluding myself and using an ultimately ineffective shortcut.

It would be interesting to know your perspective but I am not sure if you wanna “instruct”, especially in a situation there is no personal and direct contact.

Once again, thank you so much for your account, I think it’s really helpful in many ways.

    Michał
